A long table filled with the best of Klein Joostenberg
On Saturday, 22 August, we’re setting one long table for a special Farm Brunch as part of Taste Stellenbosch.
This one-off gathering is a celebration of the many hands and skills that make Klein Joostenberg what it is today. Our bakers, butchers, deli team and kitchen have come together to create a generous harvest-style lunch that showcases the food we love making, alongside wonderful seasonal produce sourced from neighbouring farms and local producers.
Rather than a traditional plated meal, guests will gather around a beautifully laid long table, helping themselves to an abundant spread designed for sharing, conversation and lingering over good food.
A menu inspired by the season
Expect a table overflowing with freshly baked breads and breakfast pastries from our bakery, traditional French charcuterie prepared by our butchery, local cheeses, freshly shucked oysters, seasonal salads, preserves and plenty of comforting dishes that celebrate the very best of winter produce.
To finish, there will be an assortment of homemade sweets and desserts, rounding off the afternoon in true Klein Joostenberg style.
Every dish reflects the same philosophy that guides everything we do: honest ingredients, careful craftsmanship and food that brings people together.
The brunch will be hosted by Garth Bedford and Christophe Dehosse, whose passion for traditional food and generous hospitality has shaped much of what visitors experience at Klein Joostenberg. Together they’ll welcome guests to the table, sharing stories behind the food and the producers whose ingredients make the menu possible.
We’re delighted to be taking part in this year’s Taste Stellenbosch festival, a celebration of the people, places and flavours that make the Stellenbosch Winelands so special. The Farm brunch offers a chance to experience Klein Joostenberg in a relaxed, intimate setting while enjoying some of the finest seasonal food the region has to offer.
